The majority of positions filled by the University Relations Program include summer internships, entry level positions and various functional rotational programs including the Chrysler Institute of Engineering Trainee Program and Chrysler Leadership Development Program.


College Intern Program

The College Intern Program offers a unique opportunity for highly motivated, innovative, and inspired individuals to work in a challenging assignment where contribution, teamwork, and communication are vital to the success of the organization.

Interns are assigned to a functional department based on the candidate's background, skill set and interests.

   
Chrysler Institute of Engineering (CIE) Training Programs

The Chrysler Institute of Engineering (CIE) Trainee Program offers a unique opportunity for work and study to recent graduates who share the Chrysler commitment to be the premier automaker. Unique features of the program include:

  • six challenging 4-month rotational assignments within
    • Product Development,
    • Manufacturing, or
    • Quality
  • an individually selected engineering-oriented graduate program at a local university,
  • executive-sponsored mentoring, and
  • career growth potential.
Upon successful completion of the program, the engineer is placed in a permanent position within their home organization.
   
Chrysler Leadership Development (CLD) Program

The Chrysler Leadership Development Program is a highly selective two-year rotational program, within Corporate Audit, for high-potential employees. This program is designed to develop future leaders by incorporating intensive on-the-job development opportunities, supplemental development and interaction with global business leaders. CLD provides participants with executive mentors and networks to accelerate career progression. Particitants will perform critical assignments and core business process analysis in all three of the following business sectors:

  • Industrial
  • Brands and Commercial
  • Corporate Staffs
