Hourly employees play an important role as part of Chrysler. Selecting the right candidates for these positions is essential, as they directly contribute to our success as a company. Hourly employees can be found performing a variety of jobs in assembly, powertrain or stamping operations, as well as parts distribution.

In Chrysler facilities, hourly employees, with the cooperation of their union representation and facility management, work to ensure product quality, develop innovative ideas and improve workplace processes and conditions. One of their primary goals is to maintain the proud tradition of delivering exciting cars, trucks and automotive supplies to our many customers.

There are three types of hourly employment: Temporary Part Time, Summer Vacation Replacement and Full Time as described below.

Below are the descriptions of each of the types of employment that are possible (though all may not be available at each location)

• Temporary Part-time - These employees typically work on Mondays and/or Fridays on an on call basis. (Your work schedule will vary based on facility needs). There is also the possibility of some overtime and weekend work. The duration of this employment is indefinite, as needed.
• Summer Vacation Replacement -These employees typically work Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week with the possibility of some overtime and weekend work The duration of this employment can not exceed 119 consecutive days but may be less, dependent on facility needs. (These positions are usually available during the summer months).
• Full-time - These employees typically work Monday - Friday 40, hours per week with the possibility of some overtime and weekend work. The duration of this employment is indefinite, as needed.

Skilled Trades employees may work in a variety of facilities, including: assembly operations, powertrain operations, stamping operations, parts distribution or general offices. These positions require journeyman status in an apprenticeable trade, or appropriate licensing for non-apprenticeable trades, as required by local or state government.
