Our Quality organization acts as the voice of the customer every step of the way, during the engineering and manufacturing process, through powertrain development, even after the sale. Each of our seven Quality teams monitors our product through different stages of development: Strategy & Integration Quality Management:
Creates, maintains, governs, promotes and guides the Chrysler Product Creation Process (CPCP) across the entire organization. Our professionals drive standardization of processes, projects, KPIs and reporting. They also manage processes required to support the entire Global Quality organization's objectives. Perceived Quality:
Drives improvement in fit and finish, and operational feel and sound, for our vehicles. Benchmarks and sets targets to ensure programs meet customer expectations. Assesses models during vehicle project to ensure targets are met, and thrives for continuous improvement of methods and strategies. Engineering Quality:
Acts as a single point for quality leadership during the project phase of each vehicle's development. Our team works to standardize and improve our production methods, and conducts risk assessments using KPI as our measurement goal, and monitors performance target achievement. Reliability Quality Engineering:
Provides planning and testing to support system design verification plans, including failure modes and mechanisms, as well as acceptance criteria, for all of our models and vehicles. Vehicle Testing:
Represents the "protection arm" of our team, testing risk tolerance to protect our customers around the world. For example, an order for police vehicles would require vigorous testing to handle the type of abuse these cars undergo; or an overseas shipment to Russia would require extra corrosion protection. Manufacturing Quality:
Sustains and improves plant quality systems by leading and supporting our World Class Manufacturing practices. This team oversees product verification, process variation reduction, launch planning and execution, field issue resolution and facilitates communication with suppliers. Current Production Quality:
Identifies and solves problems on vehicles currently in production with the goal of exceeding standard warranty achievements on every product. Our warranty reduction efforts help us identify root cause and implement corrective actions for warranty issues across the entire vehicle. This team is the after-the-sale troubleshooters.
